MVP Backgammon

MVP Backgammon has to be the most amusing and atmospheric of all the Backgammon games I have come across. This is the Shareware version, however, you could do a lot worse than to register with them for the full version which includes the "Fiona neural network". It plays to intermediate level in my opinion. MVP Backgammon won't really challenge a professional but it doesn't need to with its pleasing sound and graphics. MVP Homepage is here.

David's Backgammon

This feature full Backgammon program has no end of bell's and whistles. It plays a beginner to intermediate game. Highly configurable, this program can be made to suit anybodys play preferences. This version will only allow you to complete around half your games. Registering is recommended, as it really is a fine piece of software. David's Backgammon page is here.

Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is a Backgammon program by Gamer Cafe Software which plays 1 point matches to a high standard. Monte Carlo has a current Fibs rating of 1839 (21.05.99) so is no pushover. This version suggests moves and is great for the lunch time quickie. If you consider yourself an intermeditate to advanced player, I'm sure you will find MonteCarlo will give you a good game. Gamer Cafe are also responsible for the popular Fibs graphical interface Beggar's Backgammon Terminal (BBGT).
